Thanksgiving Dinner Reservations

One of the most common questions we get at TB&TCB is "Are you open for dinner?" The answer is "sometimes" and this Thanksgiving, November 24th, is one of those  "sometimes." Prepare yourself for a very special evening that will start promptly at 4:00pm with a Champagne Reception that will include Appetizers and French Folk Music.

Dinner will be four courses, served "Family Style", beginning at 5pm with a French Charcuterie Platter, a Seafood Platter (Salmon Mouse Pate, Smoked Fish, and Prawns,) and a Salade Composee Platter.

The second course will be a traditional Thanksgiving Feast with all the trimmings! Roast Turkey with Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, and Cooked Vegetables to name a few.

The third course will consist of  Mixed Green Salades and an assortment of Imported French Cheeses.

This fabulous Thanksgiving Feast will finish with our delicious House Coffee and an assortment of desserts including Pumpkin Galette with Fresh Whipped Cream, Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Pecan Pie, and Fresh Baked Cookies.

The cost for this Fabulous Holiday Feast you ask? $50 per person includes everything except wine, beverages not mentioned above, sales tax, and 18% service. Seating will be limited to the first 30 paid reservations we receive. Reservations and Advance Payment required.

Get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie!

They say that there is no such thing as a "free lunch" but at TB&TCB there is such a thing as a FREE COOKIE with your lunch! Beginning October 31st order any menu item priced at $7.00 or more before 11:30am or after 2:30pm and you will receive a Fresh Baked Cookie FREE! To-Go orders may be called in to (415) 896-2075. (Offer good Monday - Friday only, one free cookie per person per day).

New Hours, New Employees, New POS

Since August there have been many changes at TB&TCB. The first big change came August 1st when we opened our doors Seven Days a Week from 8am to 4pm. Looking for a cozy place in SOMA for Sunday Brunch? Well come on down!

Expanded hours means expanded staff and we are pleased to welcome the Talented and Charming team of Anna and Lisa to our wait staff! The "Dynamic Duo" eagerly awaits your smiling faces Sunday and Monday and they help out our well-known Rubi and Miuki during the "Lunch Crush" Tuesday through Friday.

In the kitchen we would like to welcome new additions Michaele, Jesus, and Joel's son Laurent. We "rescued" Laurent from New Orleans just before Hurricane Katrina (thankfully!) and he now runs the kitchen on Saturday giving Dad Joel a much deserved day off.

Labor Day weekend I installed our new Point of Sale (POS) system and the last month has been busy with learning, training, and bug fixes but FINALLY it all seems to be working smoothly. All this means a much more efficient order taking and preparation system so your food gets to you sooner and your servers have more time to SERVE you!

And last but not least Yours Truly, company President, "The Butler," joins the team full time beginning November 9th! Hope to see you there!

TB&TCB Hosts "The Last Supper"

Back on May 3rd, 2005 TB&TCB was flattered to host the Board of Directors of Catellus Development Corporation for dinner (see TB&TCB Newsletter Issue Number 1.) This group of high powered executives have the budget (and the taste) to have dinner anywhere in the world they please so when they choose TB&TCB we were, understandably, tickled to say the least. Then in August it was announced that Catellus had been bought out by ProLogis (below) and we feared we would never see Catellus again. Not so! The Directors were so pleased with their first experience at TB&TCB that they chose us once again for "The Last Supper!" on August 30th. From the Catellus web site:

Effective Thursday, September 15, 2005, Catellus Development Corporation was merged with and into ProLogis (NYSE: PLD) in a stock and cash transaction valued at $5.5 billion, including assumed liabilities. The combined company will offer the world's largest network of distribution facilities and services, with more than 368 million square feet in over 2,304 facilities owned, managed and under development in 76 markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

If we can impress Catellus we can impress YOUR boss! Call Joel or Wayne to book your next  banquet!

TB&TCB Gift Cards Available in Early November

Available for sale in early November are the NEW TB&TCB GIFT CARDS! Available in any denomination from $10 up, these are the perfect gift for the people on your list that THINK they have everything! Great as a gift to your hard working employees or to impress that favorite business client. Are you or someone you know one of our morning regulars who always drop by for a coffee and croissant to go? Love our Baguette sandwiches in the park but hate the line at lunch? Then pick up one of these, call your order in ahead of time, and one quick swipe and you're on your way! It looks like a credit card but only better - no signature required and they are "refillable" too!
